Offered Friday and Saturday MorningsAbout this experience
Chocolate tastings begin at 9am, with a duration of around 45 minutes (depending on group size and quantity of questions the tasting may carry on slightly longer).
We taste 8 single origin and specialty chocolates:
Each specialty variety of cacao hails from a specific region of the cocoa belt:
-Examples: Madagascar, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, West Africa
These chocolates have been meticulously roasted or fermented in unique ways to bring out the best in the beans, each grown and produced by single origin plantations.
The point of the chocolate tasting is to showcase the unique flavour profiles of these special cocoa beans and take the tasters on an exploration through flavour.
During the tasting we also discuss how chocolate is grown, harvested, fermented, roasted, turned into smooth creamy chocolate, differences between French and Belgian chocolate making, as well as the ethics around chocolate. Specifically what some of these companies are doing to truly make a difference and lead the way to high quality and truly fairly produced cocoa.
All of these chocolates are some of the best in the world, not sold to the public, as they are reserved for fine dining restaurants and high end pastry chefs.
Hence why it is my desire to share them for the purpose of community education through taste - to showcase what chocolate can be, and is meant to be.
I personally host all of the chocolate tastings myself, as the primary chocolatier and business owner, chocolate enthusiast. So, it is my genuine pleasure to invite you to our Luxury focused, Canadian chocolate shop, nestled within the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountain landscape, for a tasting of flavours you will remember for life.
The cost per person for the tasting is $19.04 ($20.00 total with tax)
Please make a note of any allergies (should you have any) when booking your tasting.
Booking cut off for any session on a given day is 30 minutes prior to 9am, on the day of a tasting.
